About

FSNix is an Operating System with the mindset of having the lowest disk space footprint as possible and including the absolute necessary minimums so FreeSWITCH can run with. This also includes all dynamically or statically linked libraries required for FreeSWITCH. To read the details why such a distribution was created, read here.

  • 21:12, 9 January 2012 (PST) - Adding details about uR2E0. This release may support the Rasberry Pi ARM board if we can get our hands on one. A "simulated" qemu image is being built to test the viability of FreeSWITCH on an ARM platform.
  • 09:52, 19 September 2011 (PDT) - Our first release is now active and online at SourceForge.net. The download pages will be updated soon to reflect this release.
  • 00:07, 16 September 2011 (PDT) - Testing support booting from (U)EFI for this distrubition (We seriously doubt that UEFI support is an issue here...)
  • 23:59, 6 September 2011 (PDT) - This wiki is starting to have more and more pieces of information coming together!
